The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam houses the largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh including more than 200 paintings which would be permanent collection. It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist's developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection. Also with the Van Gogh Museum License Program, the museum hopes to reach as many people as possible and inspire them with the collection.
